Who is sitting in your car-seat?

For safety reason and also for the new JPJ ruling about back passengers seat-belts, I had my 4 year old son to buckle up in his car-seat when in the car. He's getting bigger and so likes to do things himself. And being able to buckle up all by himself gives him a great sense of achievement.
But yesterday, while on the way to Harris Bookstore in 1B to get my book, he didn't want to sit in his car-seat. Why? Because somebody/something was occupying it...

Still can't figure it out? Just because you can't see it, it's not a ghost, okay?

Okay, here's the guy who was scared of being booked by the JPJ for not buckling up... lol...

Twilight Bug - Part III

So finally yesterday, after about 5 weeks wait, Harris called to tell me that my book was here. Yippie! When I got home, I was flipping through the first few pages of it and then after that put it down on my bed where my 4 year old son was sleeping... While having dinner downstairs, my son had awaken from his nap and joined us at the table. After dinner, I was excitedly planning to start reading my book when I noticed my bed had a little wet patches.. Oh no! My son peed on my bed.. and my brand new book somehow went for a dive as well.. this is how the book looks like after blow-drying it with a hairdryer... like "ham-choi", salted veggie in Hakka....lol...

It wasn't that bad, and fortunately it doesn't smell like pee..

Okay, reading time....

Twilight Bug - Part II

After finishing New Moon..... the hunt continues and I was getting anxious because in a small city like Kota Kinabalu (fondly known as KK), there are only a handful of bookstores around. And each and every one (big and small stores) that I visited to check whether they have Eclipse in stock had me leaving out their doors dissappointed. So.. everyone in town is hooked until all the bookstores ran out of stock?? I think so, too.... I even asked my sister who's working in KL to help me check the bookstores over there, but what do you know? Same situation.. Not in stock, grrr... Ok, nevermind... I wanted to buy online but the shipping charges to Malaysia was damn expensive, so that was out of the question. Then.... a new bookstore opened in 1Borneo last month... Harris Bookstore. I checked it out and was both excited and dissappointed, excited because they have Breaking Dawn aplenty in stock, dissappointed because they don't have Eclipse. (Eclipse is the 3rd series).. The staff in Harris were very helpful, and I was so glad that I can place an order for the book I wanted and that they would call me when it arrives.... so, I bought the 4th book first (which is still in the plastic bag and sitting in the shelf at home) , and I'll just wait for the 3rd book... and waited while living my everyday live doing my everyday thing...

Twilight bug

I haven't read a paperback novel like, forever.... Yup! I caught it, too! And I think my body has become a host to that little bug... When the movie "Twilight" premiered 3 months ago in Kota Kinabalu, my hometown, I was mesmerized, not just by Edward Cullen, the handsome but mysterious vampire... but the whole movie itself.. I said to myself, I have to read the book (which the movie was based on) ... And so I went to Popular Bookstore and bought myself Twilight by Stephenie Meyer (She's an amazing author) and finished reading it (during my spare time) in about 12 days.... I didn't know until I reached the end, that the story didn't just end there.. And so began my hunt for the sequels, New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn... I went to Popular again but they ran out of stock. What to do? I went to Times Bookstore in Warisan Square and well, what do you know? I bought the last copy of New Moon. Lucky me! ......
